OUR PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED!

The Holy Spirit has again blessed our congregation with the placement of a vicar for fiscal year 2008-2009. Seminarian Philipp J. Augustine has been assigned to Lutheran Church of the Cross from Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He will be a long way from his hometown of Watertown, Minnesota. His vicarage will commence in early July of this year. Thirty-eight-year-old Vicar-elect Augustine is married to Kim and they are blessed with four children, John (11), Aaron (9), Kayla (7) and Anna (3). Vicar-elect Augustine is a "delayed" vicar, which means that he has completed all his academic requirements and needs only to successfully complete his vicarage assignment to be eligible for a divine call as pastor to a congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Please rejoice with us at the placement of Seminarian Augustine as our next vicar, pray for safe travel and a smooth transition for his family and pray for a blessed partnership in ministry for all the works of service the Lord has prepared.
